Warts

Warts are benign growths caused by the human papilloma virus. Common in childhoodm these can occur at all ages and take many forms on the skin.

Multiple treatments are available including over the counter salicylic acid liquid and plasters and duct tape. In-office treatments include liquid nitrogen and Cantherone. A prescription medication called Imiquimod (Aldara) can also be used to help fight off the wart virus. Although not offered in our office, Bleomycin, a form of chemotherapy can be injected into resistant warts.
