Contact Dermatitis

Contact dermatitis is an itchy rash that can be an allergic or irritant reaction to something that contacts your skin. The most common allergic contact dermatitis is the rash from poison oak or ivy.

Treatment includes topical steroids and oral antihistamines. Of course identification of the triggering agent and avoidance is key. In appropriate cases we offer patch testing to identify skin allergies.
