Actinic Keratoses

Actinic keratoses are precancerous lesions that commonly occur in sun exposed areas. They present as rough, pink scaley areas that tend to come and go but eventually persist and get thicker. Treatment is important to prevent the development of squamous cell carcinoma. Treatments include liquid nitrogen, topical creams or photodynamic therapy.
